Training needs Analysis

 

Conducting a Training Needs Analysis will help identify areas that require training and areas that do not.  With this in place you are able to design effective training solutions that meet the gaps in skill and knowledge.  You can evaluate effectively as you will know where the learners were before the event took place.

 

An accurate Training Needs Analysis will provide you with a picture of the training needs of your employees.  Without it your training runs the risk of being costly and ineffective.  It will have an impact on the design and the delivery of the learning event as it will set clear objectives for both.

 

Training Needs Analysis DiagramAiTraining Consultancy can carry out a Training or a Learning Needs Analysis for you at the following levels

  • Strategic

    • To identify the organisation's training need in relation to the Business Plan

  • Organisational

    • Analysis to determine where the Organisation is in relation to the Business Plan

  • Department/Function

    • The Department needs to follow their part of the Business Plan and have accurate Training plans in place to achieve this.

  • Team

    • The teams within a department will achieve the aims of a department in meeting the Business Plan.  A Team wide Training Needs Analysis will provide an insight into the Skills, Knowledge and Attributes or Attitude needed to achieve this.

  • Job

    • This level requires an accurate Job Description for every job with in the Team/Department to determine what the Job holder must be able to do in order to carry out their role.

  • individual

    • The Individual needs are analysed and identified and if needed a detailed Training Plan produced

Investigating Training Needs Analysis involves questionnaires, interviews and observing the job holder in the work place. 

 

Once the Training Needs Analysis has been completed you will receive a written report that prioritises and recommends the way forward.

 

Training Needs Analysis starts at £200 and this involves identifying training needs for an individual.
